A series of literary events organized by the Polish Studies Scientific and Information Center at Drohobych University and the “Bruno Schulz Museum and Festival” Foundation (Drohobych), in cooperation with the Adam Mickiewicz Institute (Poland), the Polish PEN Club, and the Laboratory of the Anthropology of the Word (Lublin) — as part of the cultural program of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

June 15 (Sunday)

12:30 – Shelters in Poems
A discussion on the saving power of poetry and its therapeutic dimension.

High school students from Drohobych read poems by Ukrainian and Polish poets in a school air-raid shelter.
Readers: students from Secondary School No. 3 named after Vyacheslav Chornovil in Drohobych

17:00 – Pierced by Light and Other Poems
A performative reading of poems by Ukrainian and Polish poets (Amelina, Antonych, Herbert, Yakymchuk, Kuczyńska-Koschany, Krynicki, Slyvynsky, Wierzyński, Zagajewski, Zhadan) with live jazz improvisations.
