An open-air illustration exhibition based on the Convention on the Rights of the Child “Convention on the Rights of the Child. Polish Illustrators for Children”

The exhibition in the outdoor space of Eleftheria Square in Nicosia, features forty-two posters created by fourteen Polish illustrators, encouraging reflection on the challenges of today's world—through the lens of children's rights.

The Polish school of illustration has enjoyed international recognition for years—thanks to its artistic courage, innovative approach, and unique visual language. Polish children's books regularly win prestigious awards, and their creators are praised by critics and readers worldwide. This exhibition draws on that creative potential to tell stories—through art—about the values enshrined in the Convention on the Rights of the Child, such as freedom, equality, responsibility, tolerance, respect, and solidarity.

The language of illustration—free of linguistic and cultural barriers—reaches audiences regardless of age, place of residence, or life experience. Images have the power to express what is difficult to put into words—and children’s rights are a subject that must be addressed loudly, with commitment and sensitivity.
