Dobrawa Czocher & Friends at 28th Cultural Festival University of Cyprus

The extraordinary Polish cellist and composer Dobrawa Czocher who has enticed audiences all over Europe with her inspired compositions is coming for the first time to Cyprus, accompanied by her charismatic fellow musicians and friends Agnieszka Podłucka (viola) and Natalia Czekała (synthesisers).

The trio will present new compositions and pieces from Dobrawa Czocher’s debut solo album Dreamscapes (BMG Modern Recordings).

As a musician Czocher loves to expand the spectrum of cello sound, oscillating between classical and contemporary music. Her long career as an award-winning solo, chamber and orchestra musician has enabled her to mix comfortably philharmonic music with more alternative approaches, combining perfect cello technique with limitless imagination and expressiveness. More recently, her longtime friendship and artistic collaboration with the famous Polish pianist, composer, and vocalist Hania Rani, resulted in their critically acclaimed album Inner Symphonies released by the legendary label Deutsche Grammophon.
