"Elizabeth Costello" by Krzysztof Warlikowski as part of the series "Selected Polish Performances at European Theatre Festivals".
In his latest performance, Krzysztof Warlikowski - considered indisputably as one of the most important European theater directors - entrusts the stage to Elizabeth Costello - the artistic alter ego of the writer John Maxwell Coetzee, and to some extent Warlikowski himself, whose performances she haunts as a background character. Together with Costello, Warlikowski once again tries to reveal the truth of human existence. The presentation of « Elizabeth » in Paris and Stuttgart is a continuation of the European tour that has been ongoing since its premiere in April 2024.
