Exhibition of illustrations and prints: “Words and metaphors. The latest illustration from Wrocław”
08.01–27.01.2025
Dokk1, Aarhus
Exhibition of illustrations and prints: “Words and metaphors. The latest illustration from Wrocław” curated by Maciej Majchrzak showcases the works of young artists and lecturers from the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław. The legacy of Maciej Urbaniec, a prominent poster artist and pioneer of graphic design, is evident in the school’s culture of innovative communication. The works on display exemplify a creative dialogue between two generations of Polish creators, with themes ranging from literary interpretations to portraits of cultural figures and reflections on contemporary social phenomena.
The exhibition will take place at DOKK1 in Aarhus, a modern cultural center and library known for its artistic, educational, and social functions. Situated by the waters of Aarhus Bay, this venue is a key cultural landmark in Denmark.
