Performance of Rohtko, directed by Łukasz Twarkowski, will be presented as part of the Holland Festival in Amsterdam in The Netherlands.

The performance Rohtko, directed by Łukasz Twarkowski, is a deeply emotional interpretation of the work of Mark Rothko, one of the most influential painters of the 20th century. The production immerses audiences in a world of intense color and the artist’s spiritual quest, portraying not only his creative struggles but also his inner demons.

The rearranged letters in the title are no accident: director Twarkowski and dramaturge Anka Herbut explore themes of authenticity and forgery in art, the emotions art can evoke, and the value of a work within the capitalist art market. The performance will be one of the final highlights of the Holland Festival – the oldest and largest performing arts festival in the Netherlands.
