The play “Simona K.” tells the story of a woman who is difficult to understand and hard to love.

Simona Kossak was no forest angel rescuing deer, birds, and trees. She was a flesh-and-blood figure.

Full of conflicts, hungry for recognition, yet never fully appreciated. “Simona K. Crying Out in the Wilderness” is a story of an extraordinary and contradictory woman—strong and lost, uncompromising and sensitive, but above all, incredibly courageous. Throughout her life, Simona struggled—with a surname burdened by generations of artistic legacy, with her family's expectations, and with her own vision of happiness. Ultimately, she chose a life of seclusion—one that demanded strength and a belief in the rightness of that decision.
