Klementyna Suchanow will present her book "This Is War" (German: "Das ist Krieg", Europa Verlag), about radical fundamentalists and their impact on the rights of women and minorities. Suchanow investigated environments that are planning to impose a drastically regressive social order and argues that today’s women and minorities are engaged in a war for basic human rights – especially the right to freedom.

Klementyna Suchanow identifies the growing forces of a "new Middle Ages," in which religious fanaticism leads to bans on divorce, sex education, contraception, abortion, and artificial insemination, while LGBTQ+ people are discriminated against and persecuted. The author presents specific examples from various parts of the world and personally travels to meet the victims.

At a time when women’s bodies have become the object of a major political game determining the fate of the world, Klementyna Suchanow constructs a history of international networks, taking into account current events. It is no coincidence that the press has called her book "a history of the new feminism."

In a conversation with renowned journalist and expert on Polish-German issues, Uwe Rada, Klementyna Suchanow will speak about the global war for human rights in the context of radical conservatism.
