To mark the end of the current Polish presidency of the EU and in advance of this year’s IFI Kinopolis, we are delighted to finally have the chance to present Scarborn, from the director of Panic Attack, which screened at Kinopolis 2018. Winner of the top prize at the Gdynia Film Festival, the film stars three of Polish cinema’s most established stars, Robert Więckiewicz, Jacek Braciak, and Agnieszka Grochowska. Set in 1794, the film takes a loose, Tarantino-inspired approach to the story of Polish war hero Tadeusz Kościuszko, who tries to encourage his countrymen to stand up to Russian invaders.
