25 March: Stabat Mater performed by the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra (NOSPR) and the National Forum of Music Choir (NFM), conducted by Marin Alsop (Henry Le Boeuf Hall in the Bozar Centre for Fine Arts, Brussels)

The Stabat Mater concert, organized in collaboration with Bozar Centre for Fine Arts in Brussels, will be a highlight of the Klara Festival 2025. The performance features the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra under the baton of renowned conductor Marin Alsop, joined by the National Forum of Music Choir and acclaimed soloists.

The program will showcase exceptional works by Polish composers, including Suite (1931) by Grażyna Bacewicz, Chaconne by Krzysztof Penderecki, and Karol Szymanowski’s Symphony No. IV – Symphonie Concertante for Piano and Orchestra, Op. 60, as well as his monumental Stabat Mater. The solo part of Szymanowski’s Symphony No. IV will be performed by Szymon Nehring, a finalist of the 17th International Chopin Competition, whose extraordinary talent has captivated audiences and critics worldwide.

For the titular Stabat Mater, the solo parts will be sung by soprano Erica Eloff, celebrated for her sensitivity and vocal richness; rising Polish mezzosoprano Zuzanna Nalewajek; and baritone Ben McAteer, a regular performer on Europe’s most prestigious stages.
