The past: Mikołaj Łoziński and Maxim Leo: A meeting as part of the programme “Literature - A New Chapter”

20.02.2025

Literaturforum im Brecht-Haus, Berlin, Germany

#Literature

As part of the promotion of “Stramer” novel, Mikołaj Łoziński will join Maxim Leo, a German writer, who in his books deals with the German-Jewish history of his family. Is a similar family history a dividing line or can it bring people together? What role did communism play in both authors’ families? What is the attitude of next generations towards the experiences of their grandparents? These questions will form a core of the discussion to be hosted by Agnieszka Wierzcholska (a writer and radio journalist) at Literaturforum im Brecht-Haus in Berlin.
Literaturforum im Brecht-Haus is a place of rich literary tradition, with a mission to commemorate the work of Bertolt Brecht and support contemporary literature. It is located in a historically important building in which Brecht once lived. Currently, it serves as a space for meetings, debates and literary events.
