The performance draws inspiration from the lives of three extraordinary 20th-century Polish dancers: Stanisław Szymański, Wojciech Wiesiołłowski, and Gerard Wilk. Renowned for their unparalleled talent, these artists left an indelible mark on both Polish and international dance history with their iconic roles and unforgettable stage creations. Yet, their lives were as much defined by success as they were by whispers and exclusion. Admired for their artistry but criticized for their differences, their stories transcend borders and eras.

This production goes beyond a celebration of Poland’s dance heritage. At its core, Threesome is a reflection on narratives that remain profoundly relevant today. It offers an opportunity to honor these remarkable artists while connecting their experiences to the possibilities of contemporary choreography. Through themes of exclusion and the boundaries we face, the performance explores the enduring human need to overcome and transcend.
