Workshops for children accompanying mural based on Kasia Walentynowicz’s illustration, within the Solidarity Street Art project.

Katarzyna Walentynowicz on mural: The illustration comes from a book of fairy tales written by Erna Rosenstein. Erna’s fairy tales can be interpreted in many ways – the spirit of surrealism is present here, there are echoes of the world experienced by war, the fight between good and evil. I tried to show this surreal and non-literal atmosphere in the illustrations. The choice of this particular illustration becomes symbolic in our uncertain times – the illustration tells about unity, brotherhood, and love. It is a great honor for me to see my work presented in such a magnificent setting, where it can be shared with a wider audience and spark meaningful conversations.”
